Putin’s Emergency Declaration On Military Operation In Ukraine

“CONDITIONS REQUIRE TO ACT IMMEDIATELY AND DECISIVE,” said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced at 5:04 a.m. Thursday (24/2) in an emergency televised address that he had ordered a military operation in eastern Ukraine to defend areas held by separatists.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced during an emergency speech that he had approved the launch of a military operation in Ukraine.

He noted that the purpose of the operation is to protect the people of eastern Ukraine. He explained that the conditions required decisive action by Russia. He said the Russian government could no longer tolerate threats from Ukraine. He assured that the purpose is not to occupy Ukrainian territory.

He demanded that the Ukrainian soldiers lay down their arms and go home. In case of foreign involvement, he said that Russia would react immediately. There are reports of explosions in Kramatorsk, outside Kiev.

He also announced that whoever intervenes or even creates threats against Russia, Russia’s response will be immediate and will lead to such consequences that it is impossible to have ever encountered in your history.
